The COSAW Bulletin was the publication of the Committee on South Asian Women, a network of South Asian women and allies dedicated to feminist inquiry and activism. Funded primarily through subscriptions and supported in part by the Women’s Studies Program at Texas A&M University, the Bulletin featured original essays, reviews, interviews, and creative writing that documented and analyzed the struggles and achievements of women in South Asia—including India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Afghanistan, Bhutan, and Sri Lanka—as well as the experiences and concerns of first- and second-generation South Asian immigrants in North America and beyond. To foster dialogue and solidarity, the Bulletin was distributed free of charge to women’s organizations in South Asia and other regions through an exchange program.
