Imagine Your Story

Texas A&M University’s Cushing Memorial Library & Archives in collaboration with the Bryan + College Station Public Library system offer a virtual exhibit from Cushing’s Maps of Imaginary Places Collection. This exhibit is a part of the Collaborative Summer Library Program 2020 : “Imagine Your Story”. The “Imagine Your Story” Summer Reading Initiative inspires readers to read diverse stories throughout the summer on topics such as diverse mythologies, fantasy, science fiction, and folklore. The Bryan + College Station Library system is partnering with one of the largest science-fiction and fantasy collections in the world (held at Cushing Memorial Library & Archives), to provide access to rare and unique maps of imaginary places in order to inspire creativity and literacy in the Bryan + College Station community. This joint initiative offers the opportunity for people of all ages to let maps fire their imaginations and to encourage ongoing learning.
