Amérique Septentrionale
- Title:
- Amérique Septentrionale
- Creator:
- Laguillermie, Frederic
- Abstract:
- This decorative map of North America shows Texas as a Republic, with the Río Bravo or Norte as the border with Mexico. Unlike other maps of the period, this one does not show Texan land claims to the headwaters of the Río Grande in New Mexico. The population statistics for the American states on the lower left-hand side lists the population of Texas at 200,000. The map is surrounded by decorative allegorical scenes of the Americas.
