- Title:
- Portulano de la America Setentrional: dividido en quatro partes
- Abstract:
- This atlas of more than 100 New World Spanish harbors includes charts for two Texan ports: Galveston Bay and San Bernardo Bay (present day Matagorda Bay). The maps show harbor soundings, coastal elevations, and names of capes; points, islands, structures of port cities; and other geographical points of interest. This was the first time a significant corpus of maps of the North American colonies was issued by Spain.
